About us and these terms
Hero House Cleaning is a family-run domestic cleaning business based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. You can reach us on 0113 519 4581 or at info@herohousecleaning.co.uk. A contract is formed when we confirm your booking in writing by email or text.
Quotes and pricing
Quotes are based on the information you give us about your property, such as size, condition and the service requested. If the property is significantly different on arrival we will contact you before continuing and agree any change in price. Prices include cleaning materials and equipment unless stated otherwise, and we are not currently required to add VAT unless your quote says so.
Payment
Payment is due on the day of the clean unless we have agreed otherwise in writing, by bank transfer or card. Regular customers may be invoiced monthly. We may charge interest on late payments under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts legislation where it applies.
Cancellations and rescheduling
- Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or move a booking.
- Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, or where our cleaners cannot get into the property, may be charged at 50% of the booking value to cover the lost slot.
- Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have 14 days to cancel a service agreed at a distance or away from our premises. If you ask us to start within that period you may be charged for work already carried out.
- We will always give as much notice as possible if we need to reschedule, for example due to illness or severe weather.
Access to your home
You are responsible for providing safe access, running water and electricity. Keys and entry codes are stored securely and logged. Please tell us in advance about pets, alarm systems, fragile items or areas you would rather we did not clean.
Our service and your satisfaction
We will carry out the clean with reasonable care and skill, as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015, following the checklist agreed for your house clean, deep clean or end of tenancy clean. If anything is not right, tell us within 24 hours and we will return to put it right at no extra charge. Refunds are considered where a re-clean is not practical.
Liability
We hold public liability insurance. Please report any damage or breakage within 24 hours of the visit so we can investigate. We are not liable for wear and tear, pre-existing damage, items that were already faulty or unstable, or damage caused by cleaning products you have asked us to use. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
Staff and non-solicitation
Our cleaners are vetted, DBS-checked and trained by us. Please do not employ a member of our team directly, either during the contract or for six months after it ends, without our written agreement. If you do, a recruitment fee of £1,000 may apply to cover our recruitment and training costs.
Complaints and governing law
If something goes wrong, please contact us first — most issues are resolved within a day. Your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
